About 6Points

How it all started

6Points Cycling Challenges was conceived in 2016 as an individual rider, charity ride around Mallorca. The idea was to ride all the way around Mallorca in an enjoyable but challenging way, allowing riders to savour the views, the countryside, the mountains, the sea, and enjoy the culture.  The aim was to do it in three days, staying in hotels en route. The inaugural event was held in May 2017 with 6 riders completing the whole route and we raised €6,400 for six charities in Mallorca.

Since then, we have organised 15 multi-day 6Points Cycling Challenges and raised over €267,000 for charity.

If you’re up for the challenge, sign up for our next 6Points ride.

6Points Events

6Points runs a number of events and has remained true to its initial vision – our events are challenging but fun – they are NOT races and we focus on rider experience as the most important aspect.

Our premier event is the annual Reverence Hotels 6Points Challenge event in Mallorca in May.  It has grown over the years, becoming much more sophisticated and is now a world class event.  That said, we believe the event should not get too large as it will lose its friendly, family feel and so we will keep it at manageable numbers, always under 100 riders.

Reverence Hotels 6Points Mallorca now has three routes you can choose from – the toughest is ‘Everesting’ in which the riders cover 533 kms in the three days and will climb nearly 9,000 metres, and therefore qualifying as an Everester!  ‘Muntanas’ is a tough route of about 415 kms and 6,000 metres and ‘Valles’ is the ‘easiest’ route of 373 kms and 4,000 metres. Our rides are fully supported so you can focus on enjoying the riding, while we do the rest!

In addition to our main event in Mallorca in May each year, we host at least one other multi-day ride in a different, iconic location each year. We also do a number of Saturday Fun rides on Mallorca.  Additionally, we host three rides on Zwift every week and we have had over 100,000 riders participate.  We also run a specific 6Points Ladies event each year.

A testament to the success of 6Points is that a very large proportion of our riders return year after year to have more cycling fun!

Since 2019, 6Points has organised Zwift group rides, led by a ’beacon’ leader, including the UK’s record-breaking Olympic cyclist, Dame Sarah Storey. We offer 6Points Challenges Zwift group ride training on Thursdays at 9.55am UK time, Sundays at 11.40 UK time, and for the more competitively-minded, there are 6Points Zwift races on Wednesdays at 20.10 UK time.

Zwift has 12 worlds to choose from, including the new Scotland world, celebrating the UCI World Championships in Glasgow, and we run Zwift events based in all of them – Richmond, London, New York, Innsbruck, Bologna, Yorkshire, France, Paris and Scotland, as well as Zwift’s own Watopia, Crit City and Makuri Islands worlds.

Many thousands of individual participants have ridden nearly 700 6Points group rides between them, and we’ve run well over 250 6Points races over four years. Riding and chatting with other riders, via a headset or texting on screen, Zwift allows a highly developed, shared and engaging way to train, with other like-minded riders, when in-real-life (irl) road or track riding isn’t possible.

Riders that complete one of our 6Points Zwift rides get the 6Points in-game jersey unlocked for them in their equipment garage in Zwift. They can then use the 6Points kit at any time, and in any of their Zwift rides after that.

“I have been running the 6Points Zwift programme for over 4 years now and it keeps getting bigger and better each year! I am so proud we have run well over 10,000 6Points Zwift events – it’s such a great way to train and prepare for the annual Mallorca 6Points Challenge, particularly if you live in a country where the winter months make it hard to train outside”.

    6Points Ambassadors

Although most of our rides take place on Mallorca and the Balearic Islands, our 6Points Ambassadors come from all over the world supporting the 6Points community from their home locations.

    Mark Williams (France)
I came across 6Points by accident in 2019 when I enquired after a friend of mine who had inexplicably upped his training…a couple of months later, I was in Mallorca participating in my first event– and earlier this year I was there for my 5th. What’s great about 6Points ? First, it’s a family – it’s a tour, not a race, and there’s a place for everyone, from beginners to elite athletes. Second, the location – Mallorca, a cycling mecca. Third, for me, the first day of the (optional!) Muntanas route – 160km and 3,500m of climbing all the way across the north of the island – absolute heaven. And lastly, the best charity model you’ll ever find…no overheads, no organizer takes a dime, every penny goes to charity.
    Stefan Griessmann (Germany)
“While searching for a new cycling challenge, I stumbled upon the 6Points Challenges, and I was intrigued from the start. The opportunity to explore the entire island while taking on a demanding but non-competitive sporting challenge in small groups excited me right away. As I prepared for the event, I discovered just how much 6Points touches lives and supports local communities in Mallorca. This made me even prouder to wear the 6Points jersey while riding across this beautiful island. The camaraderie and friendships among participants and support staff are exceptional. With all these wonderful memories, I’m more than happy to support the 6Points cause and hope to introduce more German cyclists to this incredible event in the coming years.”
    Peter Lillie (Northern UK)
“I have been riding the 6Points Challenges for a number of years now and during that time have made friendships that will last a lifetime. The team make sure everyone is welcome from first time riders to experienced mountain goats. It’s always the first (and sometimes only) event in my cycling diary. I am delighted to be the 6Points Ambassador in the North of the UK.”
    Craig Burnside (USA)
“After participating in four 6Points events in the past three years, I’m excited to be a North American ambassador for the organization.  It’s a significant investment to cross an ocean to do some cycling, but in the case of 6Points, it’s worth it.  You’ll find challenging cycling, excellent support, superb scenery, friendly camaraderie, comfortable accommodations, and all in support of worthy local charities.   I’m happy to share my experience with anyone considering a 6Points adventure.”
    Imtiaz Mahtab (UAE)
I’m thrilled to be a 6Points Ambassador in the Middle East because this is more than just a cycling event—it’s a way to make a real difference. 6Points brings together people who share a love for cycling and a passion for giving back. The challenges push you physically and mentally while creating amazing connections and a strong sense of community. What makes it even more special is the commitment to raising funds for incredible causes, from supporting people with disabilities to empowering young adults and rescuing animals. I’m excited to help spread the 6Points spirit and be part of something that combines adventure, friendship, and impact.

    6Points Charity Ambassadors
We were volunteered to gain a deeper insight into what our three charities do and to document this to increase awareness of the value that the charities bring to our communities. We found this a very rewarding and emotional experience and we are therefore delighted to be appointed as 6Points Charity Ambassadors.
