Three days of cycling the largely unvisited, beautiful island of Menorca in great company.

By popular demand, we have centralised the event in Mahon, on the eastern end of the island and the capital of Menorca. Mahon is a picturesque little city and is wrapped around the historic port which was the home of the Royal Navy in the Med for years.  The town is filled with character and is a delight to explore.  We will stay for two nights at the excellent, just renovated 4* Hotel Catalonia Mirador des Port which is 10 minutes walk from the Placa and even closer to the port.

The 6Points Autumn event is always a very relaxed affair with time to enjoy the sights and sounds during the weekend and to have free time to chill with like-minded friends.  We have carefully set up the itinerary with this in mind.

On Friday morning we will take the 09:30 fast ferry to Ciutadella.  After arrival we will ride Stage 1 of 6Points Menorca, clockwise around the north coast of Menorca touching the most northerly point and enjoy lunch in the beautiful seaside village of Bahia de Fornells.  Then we will continue through the beautiful rolling hills down to Mahon.  This is a ride of about 70 kms.  

We will check into our newly renovated 4* Hotel Catalonia Mirador des Port – Hotel Catalonia Mirador des Port and it will be our base for two nights – no shifting hotels!

After a shower and a relax, we will meet to walk down to the port for dinner in a great restaurant.

Next morning after a leisurely breakfast (a first for 6Points!), we will take a scenic cycling tour (Stage 2) of the area around Mahon, including the Fortelasa de Isabel (a fortress guarding the entrance to Mahon port) and some of the beautiful bays and countryside.  After about 60 kms and a coffee, we plan to be back in Mahon for lunch in the old town.

And then, another first for 6Points, back to the hotel for a swim, spa session, sauna or a good old fashioned siesta!

Out to dinner in the old town of Mahon again – tapas, this time and then back to the hotel.

Sunday will mean an early breakfast and then away to do Stage 3 of 6Points Menorca – the beautiful southern part of Menorca back to Ciutadella.  We plan to arrive in Ciutadella in good time to enjoy lunch at the placa above the head of the deep fjord-like gorge that is the old port of Ciutadella.  It is very picturesque.  

After lunch, it is a short 10 minute ride to the port to catch the fast ferry back to Alcudia where we will arrive at 16:45.

What a weekend!

The Hotel package for two nights in a single room (including breakfast) is €370 and the Hotel package for a double room (including breakfast) is €410.  The Ferry pricing for a return from Alcudia to Ciutadella is:  Residents – €30 (bikes go free); Tourists – €115 (bikes go free). Lunches, drinks, dinners and incidentals  will be for your private account.

A total of 210 km over three days, and another wonderful 6Points weekend.
